I’ll be honest – it feels a bit strange writing a blog, but the internet seems to be where everything’s happening these days. I’m afraid it feels like my kids are bringing me up to scratch with things rather than the other way around. I must say, it’s definitely a useful tool for getting your voice heard and sharing opinions, so why not give it a go? God knows I’ve had my days of feeling like a voiceless housewife. Not that I haven’t enjoyed it – being a housewife, I mean. While it can get tiring, I have truly felt blessed for being able to nurture a good, strong, solid home for my wonderful family. Which brings me to my point – holidays. Or rather, caravan holidays. As usual, it’s up to me to organise our annual family holiday each year and what with the recession, everyone’s saving even if they’re not losing their jobs. It can be hard to find something that’s fun for everyone, truly relaxing and doesn’t break the bank. That’s where the internet comes in, because I managed to find a wonderful site call the Caravan Club, which has introduced me to a whole world of touring caravan sites and caravanning I has truly never even considered before. When I thought of caravan holidays before, I thought of living in a caravan on a grubby beach – not actually touring the country and discovering parts I had never heard of or seen. Nor did I imagine a wealth of touring caravan sitesthere are as listed on the caravan club website. Once I’d convinced the family, it was truly an eye opening experience and I would definitely recommend trying it if you haven’t. It was a wonderful way to really enjoy quality family time.
